From the league management perspective, this approach is possible. The second round part would need to be automatic, but it can be done.

Would it also make sense to have the option to bid on multiple players? When Mark Sanchez gets benched, maybe I really want Tebow so I bid more on him and say I'll drop Sanchez. However I might bid a lower amount on another free agent still saying I'd drop Sanchez, and then I end up getting the player that I both bid the most for and also out-bid everyone else on (if any).

I would like to propose a new free-agent pickup system. It would consist of two different segments each week.

1. Free agent pick-up would be done via blind bidding. Bids are to be submitted starting Tuesday at 8:00am and are taken through Thursday at noon. No one will see the bids until Thursday afternoon, when all bids are revealed and the highest bidder gets the player. If there is a tie, it will go to the team with the worst record, if that is tied, least points scored.

2. After the blind bids are revealed, you can pick up players on a first-come, first-serve basis for $1 each. You can pick up a player any time until their game kicks off that week, then they are locked. If they player is on bye, they are locked starting at noon on Sunday.

This idea will keep snyping to a minimum, and I know that a lot of people were putting in maximum bids with Jon the night before anyway. This also helps if people are busy and don't look at free agents until after the bidding, they can still pick them up.

Let me know what others think... thoughts, edits, etc.
